Absences from Nursery
Please remember to notify Nursery if your child is absent for illness or holidays.

Change of Days or Times
To ensure we meet the requirements for child:adult ratios, please ensure that you check with Staff if you need to change any hours or days within the Nursery

Late Collection
If you are late collecting your child you will be charged at normal Nursery rates. If you need to change your child’s hours this will have to be agreed with a member of Staff, otherwise you will be charged if you go over your normal time.

Potty Training
Potty Training – when your child is potty training, please ensure they have lots of spare clothing, pants and trousers/leggings etc. in particular and spare shoes if possible (plastic croc shoes are ideal).

Spare Clothing
All children have a coat peg outside their room. Please put their belongings on their pegs when arriving at Nursery.
Please ensure your child has spare clothes to use in Nursery either in their bag or their Nappy Box.

Illness
If your child has Diarrhoea and/or Sickness, please inform a member of Staff and please keep your child away from Nursery for at least 48 hours after their last bout.
This is for the protection of the other children and Staff.

FRUIT
For safety reasons, please ensure that you cut children’s fruit into small pieces (at least quarters), especially grapes, as there is a high risk of children choking on them.

STUDENTS AND APPRENTICES
We are also very proud at The Wonder Years to be able to offer:-
a) the opportunity of Work Experience, to students who may be interested in working in Early Years settings and
b) longer-term placements for those wishing to serve an Apprenticeship in
Child-care and working in the Early Years environment.
